Endless Summer
It’s going to be a long hot summer so we have to find ways to stay cool and healthy.

As you all know, we should always drink lots of water. Staying hydrated and cool is always the key to good health. But in the summer you need to drink even more water. Especially if you are more active. And in the summer most of us are more active. We sweat more and the more you sweat the faster you get dehydrated. And the faster you get dehydrated, the harder it is for your organs to function properly. So drink more water.

You should also eat light. A lot of socializing is the key to summer fun and that makes it easy to over eat. Nothing feels worse than over eating and over heating. So eat light over the course of the day and watch your energy increase. And don’t forget to add lots of fruits and vegetables.

Stay in the shade when possible. I know everyone likes a little color but for goodness sake don’t forget to put on your sun block. It’s very important to keep your skin healthy because your skin is your largest organ so by keeping your skin healthy you will always look healthy.

And finally, stay cool. When it’s hot we are all a little guilty of losing our cool a bit too quickly. Why is it that when the temperature rises so do our tempers? Stay calm, stay cool, and stay collected. Count to ten or do whatever is necessary to keep the peace. Maybe go outside and have a water balloon fight with the kids. Or how about making different flavors of sun tea or playing in the sprinklers… you get the idea.

Just stay cool and have fun this summer.
