Tip Of
The Month
Tis the season of the Crazy Hol-i-daze...
There is so much going on in our lives. It’s hard to keep
track of what’s really important.
Well, what is really important is our Health! Especially at
this time of year when we have more of a tendency to over
extend ourselves. The days get shorter but our lists of to-dos
get longer. With all the new viral threats out there
it’s extremely important to take care of our health because if
we don’t take care of our health we can’t take care of the
loved ones that depend on us.
Here are five very essential tips to maintaining our health,
very important now.
# 5 Diet: Stay away from the carbohydrates.
Especially white carbs. They may taste good but offer little
to no nutritional value and they rob valuable healthy real
estate on our plates. Not to mention they do not tip the scale
in our favor.
#4 Exercise: Remember the old saying “use it or
lose it”. Not only can you lose valuable range of motion but
you will deprive yourself of much needed healthy energy. Go
for a walk and enjoy all the beautiful Holliday decorations.
Put a spring in your step. There are so many ways to exercise.
You’re bound to find several that you can do alone or with
friends and family.
#3 Water: Your body is supposed to be 70% to 75%
water. Are you doing your part to stay healthy and hydrated?
We can never stress enough how important water is for our
survival. In fact it can reduce a lot of stress in your body
and help put out the fire inside. Drink more water and feel
the difference.
#2 Breath: The breath of life is exactly that. If
we don’t work on taking deep breaths we are loosing out on
helping our bodies re energize and re boot. How about taking a
few extra breaths.
Just think about it. Breathe deep and breathe long. Breathing
helps to move our own vibrational energy. We actually tend to
hold our breath while in pain. But we need to focus on
breathing thru the pain. Remember Lamaze?
#1 Thinking: We are what we think. Strive to have
a healthy and happy attitude. Share a smile with someone who
isn’t smiling and see if your smile doesn’t spread. It’s worth
a try!
Have a Happy, Healthy Holiday Season,
