Life with
Chocolate...
In an age where we are all trying to live a healthier
lifestyle is it possible to be without chocolate?
But then, why should we? Chocolate is food...very good food.
Depending on the latest research chocolate can bring us to a
healthier state of mind. It can increase the serotonin in our
brain and make us feel better. It makes us feel more loved
during the holidays. Who wouldn’t love to be given a box of
yummy little chocolates for Christmas or even better for
Valentines Day. Nothing says I love you like a box of
chocolates!! Research also shows that chocolate is rich in
antioxidants (in the form of flavinols), and is said to be
good for heart health. The fat in chocolate is said to prevent
LDL from becoming oxidized. And that’s a good thing.
All chocolates are not created equal. Aside from taste, the
type of chocolate you eat makes a difference. Natural Cocoa
Powder, Dark Chocolate and Milk Chocolate are all beneficial
but the benefits differ dramatically when paired with other
foods such as strawberries, bananas, peanut butter, or even
wine. (yes wine)
Even the way you consume chocolate makes a difference. Are you
eating it because you are loved (your Valentine box of
treats), or with good friends via the sinful dessert tray. Or
are you indulging in a decadent Chocolate Facial or Chocolate
Body Treatment. Have you ever tried a Chocolate Massage? They
are unforgettable.
Remember… Chocolate is good for you. But it’s best when
consumed with a smile...Enjoy!!!
Hope to see you soon,
