Tip Of
The Month
Staying Strong...
There is a lot going on in the world today and a lot of it is
negative. It’s time to “stand strong and stay strong”.
Too many people are going through really difficult times. I
belong to a business group and an associate of mine, who is a
mortician, just announced at a business meeting the other day
that suicide rates are up. Maybe all of us should reach out
and help those that are having difficult times with whatever
help we can offer. This should not be happening. Not now, not
ever!
If you are going through something that is too much for you to
handle alone please reach out. There are numerous people and
places that can and will help. When you see someone having a
bad day, don’t turn away. Even if all you can offer is a
smile, it will make a difference. Rather than getting short
with someone, a waiter in a restaurant, a checker at the
supermarket, or someone in your family, show some patience.
Realize that they are trying the best they can.
Because of the economic slow down people are taking on second
jobs or in some instances changing careers. Maybe they are not
best suited for this new job. Give them a chance.
At least they are out there trying to make a living. Many
people are not getting the support they need. We are all
carrying a large load. Making a small difference by sharing a
smile with a stranger can’t hurt. Share a hug with someone who
needs it. Be more patient with others… and even yourself.
I would love to hear my friend, the mortician say, “business
is down and that’s a good thing”.
Staying in touch,
Tana
